Patterns

We have a tendency to look for patterns.   They can help make sense of the world.   This was a doily pressed into clay with a special glaze used in the texture created to show the pattern off.   I like the regularity of this pattern .... but in life I think it's very important to be able to embrace randomness and difference.

A busyish day but with islands of calm.   A walk this morning with C and the Megs, C is here for a month or so, lovely to see her again and share our news.   Pancake brunch at Jamie's where I stayed to watch some tennis.   Then I picked up some finished pieces from pottery before heading home to water house and greenhouse plants and watch a bit more tennis.

This evening a trip out to Sue's and a very convivial evening of food and chat with friends which ended with some singing together ... as we do :-)
