4th July Parade
Friday
This morning we went to watch the Montgomery 4th July Parade, which Laura and Philip always used to March in with the Sycamore High School Band if we were in town. It was quite hot already at 10:am, and we were glad of the neck fans Jen had bought us as Mothers/Fathers day gifts. It was their 50th July 4th parade, so I think they had ”pulled out the stops” a bit for the event. As you can see in the main photo, it started with a fly by of historic planes, which flew over several times. There were floats representing different organizations, historic cars, Prowlers, Shriners clown car, three marching bands, children on decorated bikes etc. They all ended up in Montgomery Park, where we were last night, where the festivities continued with music, food etc., but we didn’t stay for that. Instead, we came home, then went to the Blue Ash “Y”:to swim in their outdoor pool. In the evening we went to the rock concert followed by a large firework display in Blue Ash Summit Park - see extra
