July rain

The not-entirely-accurate weather forecast meant that I was able to spend more time than anticipated in the garden this morning. However, once the rain came, I was forced to retreat inside. My only other time outside all day was to walk up to the butcher this afternoon to buy some chicken breasts for our supper. I suffered a soaking in the process.

I made the most of my time indoors to continue work on our study, mainly weeding/rearranging items on our book shelves and transferring items from our old desk into the bureau. I have also been agog at the news that Raynor Winn is a fraud. I really disliked The salt path and its ludicrous plot. Now I have an explanation as to why it didn't ring true to me.

Meanwhile the cold that Mr hazelh caught from me has worsened, and mine seems to have returned - boo!

I blipped the spider's web on our railings when I returned from the butcher.

Exercise today: gardening.
