Blackbird ( Turdus merula )

I may have mentioned we have a very friendly "Blackie" that comes, generally running when it sees us in the garden.  The reason for coming is of course it wants fed, which it generally gets.  A welcome spin off from this is, when it is "song posting" to mark its territory he doesn't mind being near to us moving around.

So today's blip isn't a "Blackbird singing at the dead of night" its a Blackbird singing mid afternoon.  The tree is an Amelanchier, the berries are an attraction for the birds.
