Blackbird.

Today a distinctly soggy blackbird!  We are in the process of developing a reflection pool for photography.  This shot was taken at an angle through double glazing, hence the fact it is so ropey.   Obviously when the reflection pool is up and running we will be using a hide so the glass would be no problem.

It was pleasing to see the "Blackie" using the pool.  Not because this prototype is any good for reflections.  Birds that feed mainly on the ground are often reticent to bathe above ground.  This individual is used to using a tray in another part of the garden on the ground, so to see it bathing in the pool (which of necessity to get the right angle to photograph is well above the ground) was pleasing.

Obviously I wasn't quick enough to catch it in the water.
