Thirty Years Ago Today

I bought my little farmhouse on this day back in 1995.  It was a sadly neglected house, but I saw its potential and I took on the challenge.  And what a challenge it was. I lived here part-time for 15 years while I taught and then moved here permanently in 2010. That old tree came down in an ice storm in 1998 and Auntie's Tree was planted in 2000.  I've added another view of the gardens, before and after, in the extras along with a picture of the old kitchen in 1995.  I canned a lot of jelly, jam and pickles that year! I added the studio to the barn and the wee potting shed, but it is pretty much the same footprint as when it was built in 1851. That projection on the barn is from the "outhouse" which was there when I bought it!  Now, things I did 25 years ago need re-doing.  Such is the joy of living in a place for 30 years, but it is my home, and I love it.
