Plastic Jesus
This ship, under repair on Swan Island, is shrouded in white plastic as they scrape and weld and fix it up. It’s been there awhile and as we walk by on the tracks, checking out the ship repairs going on, we’ve dubbed it the Plastic Jesus. The name wouldn’t have occurred to me, but Eric said it looks like the statue in Rio de Janeiro, and then started singing the song about the one on someone’s dashboard. We looked up the song and I was surprised to find that Paul Newman sang it in “Cool Hand Luke.” That’s all, folks.
