Cinnabar Caterpillar

After doing some necessary shopping before a few days away I stopped off at Hawley Meadows for a quick walk.

The meadows were teeming with life, and I was enjoying my walk, though a little concerned about the rumble of thunder and dark clouds as I had no coat to umbrella.  Sure enough, the raindrops began to fall. Luckily some dense shrubbery and overhead trees came to the rescue. Five minutes or so later it stopped, allowing me to continue my walk round the meadows.

Another walker had mentioned the presence of cinnabar caterpillars on some ragwort, and I eventually tracked them down to get my shot of the day.
