The Herb Garden takes shape
S and I have begun planting herbs in the garden that Mr H helped me create. Placed close to the back door, and also in one of the sunniest spots, we anticipate a steady supply of herbs once the garden is fully established.
Prime Minister Luxon chose to not attend the tangi (funeral) of a Te Pati Maori MP who died suddenly and unexpectedly. Instead he sent two other Ministers.
Deputy Prime Minister Seymour Has been posting satirical attacks on opponents under the heading Victim of the Day. Such disrespect of such persons as Dame Anne Salmond is against the expectations of the Cabinet Manual. He tries to justify it but merely makes himself appear vindictive, which he clearly is.
It also clearly demonstrates that he is reduced to mockery when anyone criticises his neo-liberal attacks on democracy.
Aotearoa is wealthy enough to ensure that everyone has at least the minimum. This current Government has chosen to redistribute public money from the poor to the wealthy. n example is that landlords were given a large tax break, justified by saying that would lower rentals. It hasn't (of course), and the poor continue to struggle with high rentals.
