There were no dolphins
After my blip a couple of days ago, Arclight sent me a few suggestions of places to visit.
So thanks go to her for a lovely day on The Black Isle - even if there were no dolphins or seals.
First stop, Chanonry Point. This is apparently one of the best places to see dolphins. We had a nice wander along the beach, but no sightings. Oh well.
After that, we went to Fairy Glen, where we had quite a strenuous walk up to the waterfalls. Didn't see any of the dippers that RSPB say frequent the stream, but we did see a grey wagtail.
By the time we got back to the car, we were hot, and ready for (late) lunch. We found our way to a little cafe on the waterfront in Rosemarkie.
And after that, a lovely little wander around the church and cemetery maintained by the Kirkmichael Trust.
