MonoMonday: "Metal"

JacZero has chosen "metal" as today's MM theme, so I decided on this photo os a radio aerial near the shore at Old Hartley, North Tyneside, as it's made of metal and supported by metal guy ropes. There's actually two of them and I've never been sure of their exact purpose - maybe ship-to-shore radio? It's a wide angle shot, hence the peripheral distorion - St Mary's Lighthouse (visible on the left of the photo) isn't really falling over!

We had a lovely walk this morning at the coast there. Naturally I took lots of photos although the results weren't as good as I'd hoped. However I did quite like the starling in amongst the seaweed on the beach in the extra.
