Berries

On Saturday’s blackcurrant hunt I was also on the lookout for redcurrants. None were to be found.

So I was delighted yesterday at coffee after church to find several large punnets from someone’s crop in their garden available. A donation to a charity secured a couple for me.

Today I started the jelly making process. The pulp has been dripping into a bowl ready for making the jelly tomorrow. In the morning sunshine the redcurrant had glistened.

The sunshine - accompanied by a strong and at times gusty breeze - lasted throughout the day. The threatened rain fortunately had fallen in a torrential downpour last night, drumming off the roof.

It meant that I got lots of weeding done in the front garden. To round off the day I saw two badgers when walking the dog. It may have been one badger seen twice but the first was heading off in a different direction and the second was on another street.
