Small and beautiful
Seemed like a reasonable day was on the cards so I decided to spend some time in the garden. As the sun was quite warm this morning I hoed the gravel path beside the house, but the sun didn't last and the weeds didn't shrivel!
Just before lunch I went across to see our elderly neighbour (actually I can't talk - when does one become elderly?) to ask if he could feed Rosie while we're away overnight on Friday. He could, so that's good.
After lunch I came back out to begin weeding the gravel strip down the side of the drive, but hadn't got very far when the a gentle rain began to fall. It wouldn't have been enough to send me in when I was working, but when you're retired you make your own rules! Consequently it has to be an EB today - a lovely little African violet, name unknown, that I came from a plant of my sister's. Too many dwarf varieties to find the identity, I think.
For the rest of the afternoon I was back to sorting photographs - I'm on to Day Four of my week in London!
