Three of a kind

A long(er/ish) sleep last night to catch up, a bit of caffeine after breakfast, and I was somewhat more on top of things today with three meetings and some heavy e-mailing.  I was glad to step away from the computer at lunchtime, nip out to collect a prescription and have a general walk in the warm sunshine.

It seems there has been a good old hatching of Small Tortoiseshell butterflies.  This is good because they are actually in decline in Western regions, and likely sensitive to climate change, rainfall levels and the abundance or not of good nettles.  I photographed one on the back wall this morning, then saw at least half a dozen on a bush down the road, and then another on the flowers by the chemist.  Although my wall photo probably showed the most detail, I liked this snap because there is a bumblebee and a wasp hoverfly in it as well.
