HONESTY
I would have liked to have just stayed at home today and relaxed but I had an appointment at the clinic in Blaydon to get my leg ulcer checked and re- dressed. No chance to change the appointment as this was the only one they had when I booked it last week.
I didn't fancy walking to the village and getting a bus so I asked my sister in law if she would give me a lift. Luckily she was free.
I saw a different nurse this time. I told her I was in a lot of pain so she took a swab and said she would check for infection and also contact my GP re pain relief. She put a different dressing on ... which stung for hours.
My sister in law dropped me off back at home and she went off to walk her dogs, visit the hairdressers and go to the stables to check on my nieces horse. I took some codeine and went to bed. The pain in my leg was worse than ever but I did manage to nod off for a while.
Later on I felt a bit better so I did a few chores. Popped into the garden to put some bird food out and nabbed my blip shot.... a seed pod on an Honesty plant. Thanks to JDO for hosting Tiny Tuesday.
My eye is fine today -- no pain or discomfort and the vision is good. Only problem is I can't see anything close up. I used to be able to read small print without glasses ... now I can't read it at all. I did buy some cheap reading glasses and they do help a bit but I'm going to need something better in the long run.
