An incredibly busy day

Following on from yesterday, with Bella's eye, we went to the Gloucester Health Access Centre this morning for the appointment. Took about 2 minutes and the doctor said she couldn't do anything because they didn't have the equipment to examine the eye. We should go to A&E!
All the emphasis is on NOT going to A&E but go see a pharmacist, which we did, he referred us to the local GP, who referred us to the Health Access Centre Who referred us to the A&E. Could have gone there in the first place if it wasn't for all the publicity not to do so!
Returned home in time to pick Buddy up from School, so I couldn't take Bella to A&E straight away. Meanwhile, Marlane had to walk Hetty to school.
I was picking Buddy up to take him to his Equine Therapy session, which is once a week on a Tuesday. It's about 1.5 hours and he grooms and walks the horses, spends time with them and he obviously loves them very much. He mostly spends the time with Bubbles, a small white pony, or another, slightly larger pony whose name I can never remember.
While he was doing his thing I spotted the horses close by and wondered why they were blindfolded. I wandered over and realised they weren't, it was a mesh hood to protect their ears and eyes from all the flies that were buzzing around them. What a great idea, must be incredibly annoying for the horses otherwise.
Back to Gloucester, dropped Buddy back to school and took Bella to A&E. It's a long story but the outcome was the eye isn't damaged but it does have conjunctivitis, which is incredibly irritating. We didn't have the expected 4-6 hour wait thankfully, Gloucester Royal Hospital has a separate A&E for children so in all we spent about 1.5 hours in there.
We then had a hunt for some eye moisturising drops because the hospital pharmacy does not have the capability to sell items, just dispense prescriptions. That took a while and then the trouble began with trying to administer the drops, she didn't like that at all.
We'll see what she's like in the morning, managed to give her drops twice today.
And that's all that's happened really!
