Musing of a Lady

On The Island

Little Man and I departed our hotel early this morning. Little Man was so tired he slept through me putting his sweater and shoes on, and being transferred to his pushchair. He slept through my quick chat with our dear cousin, Amanda, who works with Tui at the North Terminal. He slept through baggage drop. To my surprise, he even slept through being carried through the metal detector at security. Thankfully, the staff just ran a handheld detector over him, and didn't wake when I adjusted him in my arms so they could scan his front, and then being put back in his pushchair. He woke up at boarding, when he needed to come out of his chair.

We had a good flight. Little Man had his tablet and headphones, so was as good as gold, right up until the approach, when he wanted the blinds closed and the tray down, both of which was allowed. Caleb collected us from the airport and dropped us off at Knockaloe Beg Farm. We spent the rest of the day hanging out and exploring.

After dinner, we went to Douglas for the first session of the conference. There was a kids programme, and Little Man made it through without me being called. We're both exhausted, but I want to make sure that Little Man is totally asleep before I go back into the bedroom, so I'm in the corridor.
