Happy Cocker

The day was spent preparing for S , Cameron and Ben going on their adventure camping up at Sango Sands Durness. The main event is the walk to Sandwood Bay.

I made up egg mayo rolls for them to eat whilst there. We went to Tesco and loaded the trolley with food suitable for Camping. They are hoping to get onto the Park at Sango Sands but you can’t book in advance with a tent you have to arrive from 12 noon onwards.

S prepared all his rucksack. Cameron was staying her as they are using his room while L and D’s is getting decorated. Him and Ben have been through the whole scouting years so they are dab hands at camping. S has camped out a few times but they know the ropes much more.

So Ben has gone from the big city to the wild ruggedness and natural beauty of north Scotland. The boys are in the land of their ancestors. My Mums side, the Gunns, came from there.

I’ve been there a few times and I feel an affinity with the land. It’s stunning.
