A tough away bowls match today against Rhyl A, who are currently top of the division.

The grass was relatively long, and parts of the green were badly rutted—making it a very different prospect compared to recent games.

In the Tuesday league, I had gone 27 games unbeaten, but today I had to admit defeat, losing 20–21. 

On a brighter note, each team had five winners, and we edged the aggregate score by just one point. That gave us the match win and seven valuable points, placing us second in the division just over halfway through the season.

We have a good chance of promotion—if we can keep up the effort!
