Catch-up

Into the office, unusual for a Wednesday, but the air conditioning was very welcome.

A couple of divisional all-hands meetings took up much of the morning. There was a lot of focus on the mid-year review, which is not the most exciting content.

But drinks in the evening with Mark B were very welcome. Initially, we’d only planned for a quick get-together as he had other people to visit, but for some reason, that was postponed and we got to spend the evening together. Nice drinks and an accompanying fish platter. I did say no to the late-night burger as we left the pub.

I’m very glad I was able to catch him while he was in the country, and I was delighted that I kept an eye on the time and did not miss the last trains from Shepherd’s Bush. I even had time to snap a picture on the way into the station.
