Table Companion

It was actually cool enough this morning to walk into town - posted a parcel, didn't find a plumbing bit, and had a coffee over ice at Morango. This dove was on the next table, sleeping, thought at first it was a sculpture - Morango is full of the owner's daughter's artwork, but then realised it was alive. Only flew off when a dog came nosing under its table.

Pretty awful walking back, but soon sorted with a cold shower and air con on. This isn't uncomfortable heat; it's dangerous heat. The fire from yesterday was eventually brought under control this morning - more than 5,000 acres burnt, but I think mainly bush.
