Wallington Hall
We were up early so that Mr C could get the van to near Morpeth to get them to look at why an engine warning light was coming on. Something to do with a fan sensor and fixed (hopefully) now.
Chris called at 10 and we had a lovely morning at NT Wallington Hall. We had coffee and a scone before walking through the woods to the walled garden. It was splendid. So colourful and well planted. We had a good chat - (minimal on) illness, family, books, her watching lots of sport - rugby in the mornings, tennis in the afternoon - holiday plans, how different people cope with worries, gardens, exercise and more.
By the time we got home I’d walked 2.5 miles, mainly flat or on a slight slope, and a bit without my stick. (It hurts more in bed and when standing still). I’m resting it with ice now and have finished “Butter”. I still can’t decide if I liked it or not. It was different. I think it was about cooking, controlling and obsession.
