Beauty is all around us.

Garden Flowers.

The Feast Day of Saint Rufina and Saint Secunda..Martyrs.

We had a good plumber fix our cistern between 9am and 10am. It cost £85. No more dripping water. It is worth it.

I went to Mass at the Parish Church for 10am. Normally it is a Class Mass, but today they were doing something different so it was a small number of us and Fr Paul who covered for Fr Eddie. Fr Paul is retired but gave us a dignified prayerful Mass and a decent sermon.

Today is sweltering by our standards, but it's only 26.3c in the living room and 90f in the conservatory compared to other places so I am not complaining. Holly and me are sitting near the fan. Paul is in the garden with his Tablet and Hunter is outside somewhere. Jasper and Hunter had a tom cat fight earlier. It was not nice. Paul was furious and said some things I can't write here. Jasper is banned from visiting but I'm not sure how to deter him. It is a tense situation.

Paul noticed flying ants in the garden. I looked up how to deter them. It said to close doors and windows. Make a spray in water of peppermint oil. Spray it near doors and windows. Citronella works too but cats don't like citrus fragrances.

I am finding the heat challenging. I have been drinking tea most of the day.

The photo shows pink Corncockle flowers grown from the seeds collected and saved from last year. There are white Camomile flowers and orange Calendula flowers.

I hope you all find a cool spot and enjoy the day as best you can.
