The western fells from Wellington Farm
Where we had a most enjoyable blip meet to welcome Susan and myself to Cumbria. Thank you to Clickychick for organising it. I didn’t take any shots of people… shame but many others did!
It was really good that so many were able to come and to learn that more couldn’t make it because of other commitments. Apart from myself, Susan and Clickychick, there was Jerra, Kabul, Derwentlass and her husband, Marpaul and her gorgeous dog Tess, Biblinros, Kentboy and John Gravett. That’s the first meet since Fell Foot in 2021: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2854124416860685164
The blip is of the view from the cafe balcony where we lingered for a while admiring the glamorous peacock who failed to show his tail. To us, this view gives the essence of why we’re living this part of the Lakes.
And, it’s close to the coast. Afterwards we went on to Whitehaven to see the galleon (extra) and walk around the harbour and along the cliffs on the King Charles III Costal Path. The orange water in the harbour is striking and annoying to locals
