Morning Coffee

After walking Merlin we drove to South Harting to visit a little cafe for a drink and a snack. The cafe also sells second-hand home furnishings, which along with the many house plants, makes for an unusual setting. I enjoyed a refreshing mint tea and bowl of olives while Andy had a flat white coffee and crostini. As we sat an elderly lady and her delightful English pointer dog arrived. They’d walked from a neighbouring village and are regulars. The dog made its way around each table gently introducing himself to the other customers and then waited alongside the doggie snack jar for his daily treat.

This afternoon it was around 29 degrees so I used the time for indoor activities which I’ve been putting off.

Andy made a Greek salad for dinner which we enjoyed with new potatoes from the allotment.
