Mammoth
I spent an hour and half at the allotment this morning before it got too warm for me. In that time I managed to water everything I felt really needed it. Then I weeded and picked more blackberries and herbs (for drying) along with several courgettes. It felt good to get something constructive done as the plants and weather can get on top of you if you are not attentive!
This afternoon I’ve enjoying watching the men’s semi-finals at Wimbledon from the cool of the darkened living room. I also gave Merlin a refreshing wash - he wasn’t keen but I think he felt better for it.
My blip shows Dill Mammoth growing at the allotment. As the name suggests, it is a particularly tall variety of dill and its large yellow flowers attract many different insects, particularly hover flies. It’s the first time I’ve grown it.
Hoping you’ve had a good day and my best wishes for the weekend.
