Daisy delight
I had a trip to Rosemoor Gardens today. I was taking a friend there as a postponed birthday treat. We had planned to go a few weeks ago now but I didn't feel well on the day and wondered if the good weather then would keep up. As we are now in our third heatwave it's difficult to know if you call this good weather as it was such a hot day.
Nevertheless the gardens looked very lush although understandably a little dry in places. We caught the tail end of the festival of Roses with some lovely specimens still flowering. The Hot garden was very colourful and by now we were also becoming hot so we headed to the cool of the cafe for lunch. After this we continued walking through the gardens to the lake and along the stream and shady areas of the underpass, see extra. It was by now becoming extremely hot so we slowly walked back and headed for home. The car was recording temperatures of 31C as we returned.
My friend hadn't been to the gardens before and was very impressed despite only seeing a limited area.
