“Take me out to the ball game”!

We’re not great baseball followers, but we do like to get to at least one Cincinnati Reds game per season, and since we leave for Iceland followed by England a week on Sunday, and we’ll be gone a month, we’re running short of opportunities. I saw the Reds were playing at home this week, a series of games against the Miami Marlins, so we got tickets for this evening. It was a very warm and humid evening, and then R decided he didn’t want to pay for parking, so we parked a fair way along the river, and walked in through the park, but this meant we arrived at the Ballpark all hot and sweaty! However, it did mean we got double exercise for the day, since we had been swimming in the outdoor pool at the “Y” in the afternoon, then we had the walk there and back! Last night the Reds had lost 2-12, so we weren’t too hopeful for a win, but they got off to a good start with 3 runs in the first innings (out of nine), and they went on to win 7-2!
