Ringlet butterfly

Well yesterday, on a hot summers day,  L and l set forth on a butterfly hunt.  We went to Broxbourne Woods, a wooded area neither of us had been to before which had been recommended by a friends husband as good for butterflies.  Indeed there were lots about but very difficult to photograph as they were all relatively small and constantly moving.  Still, it was a fine walk with plenty of shade and we followed it up with a sandwich and drink in a nice country pub. Oh, and we did see a couple of small deer, muntjac l think.
