Wilted

Me and the flowers I forgot in the kitchen. Left the cottage at ten and had very slow drive home, lots of roadwork both before and when we got to the motorway. Could see black smoke further down and then the signs came on saying vehicle on fire, and it was in full flame when we passed, fire engine in attendance and the passengers from the mini bus standing on the grass well away from the fire.
We got home at 3:30, it was 33 degrees but the house was cool. We had coffee in the bottom part of the garden which is cooler in the afternoon but still very warm. Hetty had a slow late walk with hubby while I cooked dinner now she has found the coolest spot in the hall.
