Will there be cake

Early walk to pick up paper and bread and enjoy the cool air. By the time grandson got dropped off it was very warm. His parents are at a wedding so he is with us until tomorrow. We had a picnic in the garden at lunch and then decided to pop up to the garden centre as it’s air conditioned and we promised ice cream. He enjoyed the chocolate ice cream sitting under a parasol, he fed the fish and looked in on the rabbits and Guinea pigs.
There is a great train track just like the one he has at home and he wanted to play.
We went round to a neighbours house in the afternoon and he was a star, another neighbour brought her granddaughter and they played so well together.
On the way there he said is it a birthday party and will there be cake, I told him it wasn’t and probably not, and he was OK with that.
He was sound asleep by nine so hopefully he will sleep through.
Bit late but as it’s Saturday we will at least start a film.
