The hosepipe game

Spent the day with middle son K & two youngest granddaughters O & I.

O was off school, teachers inset day, whereas I was in school.

The 3 of us went out to lunch, very nice it was to, The Brownlow Inn just outside Congleton. We were all stuffed, but O had set her heart on her fav dessert, Eton mess…. so it was one dessert & 3 spoons ;-) we managed it between us!

Home in good time to collect I from school, K & me decided to walk, O stayed home, wise girl! We were positively melting by the time we got there, in 31 degree heat!
Don’t think I was impressed when we said we had walked it ;-)

Back in the garden, the girls persuaded Dad to play a game, they choose a number, whilst sat in their plastic chairs, Dad rotates the hose head the appropriate number of clicks, then fires it at the girls, sometimes a fine spray, others a full on blast, needless to say lots of shrieking & squealing followed!

All good fun though. The girls mum picked them up at 7, so I headed back shortly after, timed my return so as not to get caught up in the traffic around Heaton Park for tonight’s first Oasis gig!
