The second half of life..

By twigs

Looking back...

...through the rear view mirror, (or rather,  the rear camera), there was little to see but rain and dirt as I drove through Geraldine.  I left Pukaki this morning in grey but dry weather but the rain started to develop and by Geraldine..... it was wet.  It was windy too,  something I hadn't expected......I'm OK about driving Gerty van in rain, but not keen at all about driving her in winds.  Anyway,  made it to Christchurch in time to pick up new laptop so that was good.

Staying at Weedons tonight....... rain stopped for a while but the wind got stronger as the evening wore on.   Not sure that the road reports in the morning will be conducive to me heading home tomorrow.   Will wait and see......

Despite not getting a full hoar frost experience this year, I've still thoroughly enjoyed my time away.  It's such a wonderful way to 'reset'....... surrounded by spectacular scenery,  back-to-basics living where the only things that really matter are being warm, being dry and being fed, and time in abundance to pursue my interests and inclinations.  Feeling so very fortunate to have the choice to do such a trip.
