African Daisy Feast
Today’s Flower Friday excursion took me to the National Trust’s Woolbeding Gardens. It is only open a couple of days a week, and you have to book and park in nearby Midhurst town centre to catch a complimentary minibus bus to the gardens, but well worth the effort.
The gardens were full of colour and buzzing with insect life. They were also very hot, but fortunately there was plenty of shade, and a handy cafe for morning coffee and afternoon ice cream!
This shot was one of the last of the day taken as I waited for the last minibus back into town. I liked the little hoverfly enjoying the nectar … look large to see his big eyes.
