All dog training was cancelled this weekend because of the heat.
So I got up early walked the dogs in the woods finishing in the river.
Then off to do parkrun, on the way hear there is a heat warning and people over 65 should take extra care in the heat. Oh well I'm sure that doesn't include me ;-)
It was very hot, walked a bit more of the hill than I usually do, but managed to finish first in my age group (and there was a big turnout today).
This photo was taken on the morning walk, Dina was very proud of the glove she had found. A bit further on I heard a branch snap further into the wood, I looked and there was a deer looking straight back at me stock still. Fortunately deer and aren't on Dina's radar (and she had her gloves) so she just took a passing glance. Keely took a few steps towards it, I just said "this way" and she turned around and continued in the direction we were heading. When I looked back it had silently disappeared
