My last day in the Mind shop and Julie came in briefly to present me with this gorgeous bouquet! Julie, Margot and I will keep in touch I'm sure, we've a WhatsApp group and its my turn to name the date for a walk my side of town, but I'll wait until the weather cools down a little. 

The Mind shop has been a massive part of my life since early 2012 when I returned to the UK for five months, before returning to Spain for a further two years. I first went in there searching for a volunteer opportunity, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, I was hooked. Julie, the Manager, didn't mind what hours her volunteers worked so, while I had a regular day, I was free to go in and do as little or as much as I wanted needed any time at all. And I did need it, newly arrived from Spain, newly living alone, I didn't know many people and the shop became a place to go when I needed to see and chat to people, and that was all down to Julie ♡

After re-emigrating to Spain, but unable to make it work, I returned in 2014 and slotted right back into the shop. I'm very grateful.
