I walked to the allotment at 7.30 this morning as I hadn't watered either yesterday or the day before, thankfully its much cooler today. The Club had gone climbing, but I'm so behind with stuff that I elected to stay at home.
I've been wanting to start swimming again, but what a palaver to sign up to Everyone Active and select a swim session. I eventually got it right and I'm going swimming in twenty minutes - £2.75 what a bargain, and I've booked for Tuesday too. I've opted for a Slow Lane Swim, but I haven't been for so long and I'm so unfit that I know I'm going to have to stop and rest several times, but that'll improve.
Edit: I used to love swimming, it was my thinking time, a mile a week... I was a good swimmer.
I googled if swimming was good for a herniated disc and it said that breaststroke was likely not because it arched the back. But I think if you put your head/face into the water, as I do, your back is more in line, and it'll help strengthen core muscles.
