Old School
I'm having a slow and steady clear out, tidy up, and reorganisation (it'll be going on for months!).
Among the items found today was my Mamiya C330 TLR. I suspect that those who have only ever used a phone camera might struggle with it.
It does have interchangeable lenses, the viewfinder is nice and large and bright, but you have to learn to adapt to the image being reversed horizontally.
Completely manual - exposure, focus, wind on (unless you choose the multi shot option). No exposure meter, that is separate. No setting for white balance, that was decided when you loaded the film, unless you modify it with a filter on the front. No built in flash.
Choice of format - 6x6 or 6x4.5 cm, set as you load the film giving you 12 or 16 exposures from a roll of film (currently about £10 per roll on average, plus processing and printing). And of course, no instant feedback you have to wait for the film to be processed, and then you don't get a histogram, EXIF data or such things.
Mine was second hand, ex MoD, so it has seen quite a bit of use.
