Big Birthday Bucket List Big Tick!

Well, I didn't make it to Svalbard but today I finally got to see Polar Bears at Hannover Zoo!

Up early then S and I took the tram into Hannover and to the zoo where we spent six wonderful hours. Our first two visits found the Polar Bears sleeping but on our third visit they were up, ready and waiting for their tea. From our vantage spot they were only 5m away, and of course at that point my camera packed up so had to switch to the phone. Some of the many animals we saw in extras, along with more polar bears, probably more interesting than my main pic!

Back at base, an evening in the garden enjoying homemade Kartoffelpuffer and Sekt. A day of sunny intervals, reaching 25 degrees.
