Strange Saturday
Brian had work this morning and I just pottered about. I had a bit of a rough night, thanks to partying neighbours and snoring/Darth Vader impersonating Brian and was downstairs reading my book at 2 AM.
It's not just the noise. Brian's new alarm clock is just so bright, even on its dimmest setting. I went back to bed when I was tired enough that I knew nothing would keep me awake, and slept until 7.30.
When Brian came home we went out to the Boultham Park Gala. It's a much smaller affair now than it was pre-covid. It was still worth a visit. I forgot to take any means of taking photos though, so here are my very tastefully displayed Tombola prizes.
There's another alarm clock which is unfortunately also a nightlight, a Strongbow cider t-shirt, a bottle of hand sanitiser... And a cuddly toy!!
I'm glad to say that after a dismal first half that saw Wigan Warriors 10-0 behind to Huddersfield last night, they came out like a different team in the second half and went on to win 30-10. They looked back to the form of last year, and did Sir Billy proud.
