Strawberry Time

Friend Nicky picked me up this afternoon for a ride to Barton le Willows. First time the strawberries I’ve picked were warm to the touch. Having just picked a punnet a man arrived wanting some ready picked as he didn’t want to leave his dog in a hot car. So Nicky offered hers and returned to pick more.

The farmer arrived who knew N. He told us about how he ended up with the beautiful Black Labrador who welcomed us as we arrived. He’d always owned Spaniels so was rather surprised when a friend arrived with the puppy. He was from a Crufts champion Field Trials dog. He is clearly now a fan of Labradors.

He refused payment for the Strawberries. So a lovely treat for tea.
