So Soon

Well, there it is. The first competitive match of the 2025-26 season for Queen's Park. The League Cup. 

Often I let the competition slip by without bothering my credit card, but today's opposition was The Spartans and their home ground is in northwest Edinburgh - easy for me to get to. 

Needless to say I had reason to regret it. We lost 1-2 against a team two divisions below us. On a more positive note, I had a lovely pint of Thistly Cross cider in their clubhouse before the game, and a delicious bridie (the size of a dinner plate) at half time. And the weather was very pleasant (for spectating).    

Other events in an eventful day included lunch at the Mosque Kitchen. Portion sizes have shrunk while prices and quality have stayed the same. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise. The end result is in the Extras. 

I did my Parkrun at Kirkcaldy because much of the course is in shade. Even then It was a sweaty affair. Another Extra...
