An ordinary life....

Ice ice baby...

Another hot one.

I was up early to get showered in the pool shower room, as D contacted M (who fitted our ensuite shower) yesterday evening about the broken panel/door not expecting to hear from him till today, but he messaged back saying he would pop in this morning to take a look!  It pays to use local tradesmen :-)

We had lunch and I was sitting in the shadiest spot in the garden when he arrived.  Investigated the problem, declared it fixable and proceeded to fix it there and then. We can't use it till tomorrow but I am very happy.

The afternoon was spent getting ready for our friends visiting tomorrow with their three year old tornado Jack and their three month old bubba Alfie.  This mainly involved moving delicate nik naks out of reach of said Tornado's reach.  I also spent a chunk of the afternoon in the Gin Palace with a large fan and a large glass of iced water.

Dinner then we've been glued to Live Aid.  We cannot believe it is 40 years since it was broadcast.  1985...a different time in so many ways yet seems like yesterday.  We were both 18, in our first jobs and been dating for six months.  How time flies!

We've been guessing the ages of the performers as the come on and laughing ourselves silly at how young they all were, when we felt they were old then!  Thirty really is ancient to an eighteen year old!  LOL!

PS Good grief!  Talking about time passing quickly, it's fourteen years ago  today we had our offer on this house accepted!  That boggles my mind!
