Mr. and Mrs. Common Swallowtail

Not sure if I mentioned but some insect bit me the first day we camped at Camp Meade. Since the grass had not been mowed, I figured it was chiggers. The itch was terrible. That was 29 June. A few days ago, I noticed I had a red one inch wide ring around my ankle, same foot with the fasciitis. Figured the braces I was using had latex and I am allergic. Stopped using them. The area got darker red and moved further around my ankle. I showed my sister and she wisely hounded me to go to Urgent Care before our trip. I was there when it opened at 8:00. The doc says it presents itself like Lyme’s disease. I was awake at 2:00 am, checking images of insect bites and had drawn the same conclusion. The doc loaded me up with three prescription orders and sent me on my way. I will have a Lyme’s test in a few months, it takes that long to get a semi accurate test result. You know, I am hesitant to even talk about these struggles. They make me sound like a drama Queen. I did last minute shopping; hubby stayed home with my mother all morning. I picked up wings as a lunch treat when my prescriptions were ready. We cleaned a bit, I found this pair of swallowtails on the butterfly bush. Momma picked more crab claws. Then it was time for showers and Mass. We met my sister and BIL at Olive Garden. Momma went home with them after dinner. I have a ton to do after being gone all morning. Looking forward to 12 days of R&R. Wishing you a perfect Sunday. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “Struggle and determination lead to great things. Just ask the butterfly.” – Unknown
