Ullapool and Lochinver
Back blip
Today we travelled to Ullapool, passing Gruinard Bay and Inverewe Gardens. We had some time there and walked up to the Seafood Shack which I was keen to see. Sadly we were not hungry as the menu was delicious and the girls serving so friendly. The temperature was 20C and very pleasant although not a lot of sunshine.
We had a coffee down on the front and just people watched for a while, and had a great conversation with two motor bikers, who were going south having done part of the NW500. They were really nice lads but hadn't a clue of the geography of the country, so it was an interesting and funny chat.
From Ullapool we were taken to Lochinver, and had a short time there. Took a photo of Suilven (extra) which overlooks Locinver, and also managed a shot of Stac Pollaidh. On the way home we passed the Bone Caves, which we remember walking up to some years ago, and passed Ardvreck Castle (extra).
Another busy day, and most enjoyable. The forecast for this week had said rain, but so far we have had none.
