Ficus ……

………………… aka - Strangler fig. Who would have thought that one plant could ‘strangle’ another! How very odd.

I do want to thank you all for your lovely caring messages about my awful day yesterday. It was heartening and comforting and I was very grateful.
And yes I’m gradually coming right now. I think it was a combination of 2 tough 17.5 hour days, plus 3 other busy days, four flights, two zone changes, cold to hot, and maybe some other bits too. I was thankful to realise that it wasn’t an Histamine flare-up. What a relief that was.
I’ve found stuff called Histablock which may also be helping.

Today we went to the Broome Museum and had an interesting look at the early pearl diving industry and equipment. I was appalled to discover that young Aboriginal people were coerced into being divers in the early days and then sold into slavery. My friend F. had a wonderful long discussion with some aboriginal folk in town, about their early stories. F. said that they are remarkably accommodating about the ways of the colonisers.

My friend M. from our Arrowtown village arrived today, to join our Kimberley adventure. Wonderful to see her!
