Triple sun with barley

We decide it’s sensible to wait until the evening to venture out, spending the day either indoors or in shaded areas of the garden. There’s the tennis to watch - though like most people, I expect a final that lasts longer than an hour. Poor Anisimova - so desperately sad to see her struggling out there with nothing going right for her.

The evening trip has to be Llanfairfechan, with so many photography options even if the sunset disappoints. Walking along the coastal path, I spot the seaside vegetation backlit by the sun’s low rays. Coming to a patch of wild barley lower down on the sand, I end up lying down across the path (first checking for oncoming cyclists) to get the angle right. Getting down is hard enough, but getting up again is far from elegant! I’m OK on grass, but hard tarmac is a different matter. Still, it’s worth it, and provides my blip, with an alternative view in extras plus the backlit flower collage.
