Ragwort / sunset
Busy but successful day at work. In the evening, Tim and I went to the Angel for his birthday meal. Absolutely love it in there - the food and service are both so good. We treated ourselves to starters this time, too - and a nice bottle of NZ wine. And booked again for August while we were there :)
After that, we came home and sat out in the summer house until it got dark. Having been such a hot day, it was a lovely balmy evening. We were treated to a beautiful sunset, aerial acrobatics by the local bats - and then a visit from our local hedgehog. I was so excited about the latter! We'd seen it on the trail camera a few times recently, and it had arrived about 10:30pm a couple of times. About five to ten, Tim joked 'Only half an hour to the hedgehog' - I looked over towards the bird feeder and said 'What's that dark thing over there?' And lo and behold, it was the hedgehog!
Happiness :)
(Oh, and this is the ragwort I dug up from my Mum's garden and brought home to plant in my little wildflower patch. Tim kindly lit it up with his torch while I took a quick phone photo.)
