Spot

Far too hot to do anything today, except just try and keep cool!  Tim had ordered himself a poker set with some of his birthday money, so we had a go, to learn the rules - and ended up playing for hours!  Way more fun than I expected. 
 
In the evening, we sat out in the summer house again.  Again, we had a beautiful sunset and watched the bats - but again, the hedgehog turned up nice and early and successfully distracted me from those!  I'd taken my camera out to capture the sunset (and did get a couple of really nice photos after this), but I also stalked over to where the hedgehog was and snapped a lot of photos.  All incredibly noisy (it was pretty dark by this point) and mostly blurry too - but I had to pick this one for my photo today.

I've taken to calling the hedgehog Spot because - at least under infrared light on the trail camera s/he has a large distinctive mark on its side.  Interesting that it doesn't show up at all here.
