Isle of Skye
Back Blip
Another day with temperature of 20C. We have been so lucky as we have had no rain whatsoever.
Today we were taken to the Isle of Skye. We travelled along part of the NC500 and passed Loch Carron and Strone, on the way to the Skye Bridge, where we crossed to the island. We headed up to Broadford , passed Sligachan Bridge, which holds great memories for Bob and I, and stopped at Portree where we had time to wander down to the harbour. Portree was very busy with tourists of all nationalities. We had lunch there, and I had Cullen Skink, which I love.
It was a long day as the journey time was 3 hours each way , but the scenery is spectacular and we were very comfortable on the coach/ I took a photograph of Ben Eighe from the coach (extra).
We had entertainment in the hotel tonight, and it was a sing along type of evening, which was very nice. And we sang along.......
